Next meetup: 3pm Saturday 2nd July

We'll be at the Cambridge Picturehouse cafe as usual. Roborally will be available for those of you wishing to play it and if there's demand we might run the Go Game - leave a comment or reply on Twitter if you'd like to give it a go!

Weekday meetup: 2nd June 2011

We met on Thursday 2nd June, at our usual venue of the Cambridge Picturehouse cafe. By then we'd all recovered from Gamecamp...

We all failed to bring any games, but the conversation flowed freely about cyberwatches, spam, semantic web, the Khan Academy, getting things done, Minecraft, wearable computers, NFC, nanotech, emulators and burning man  :) see you all next time!

A request has reached us!

Not for the first time, we've been asked if we can recommend any groups or societies who play board games in the Cambridge area.  Is there any such thing out there?  The most recent request is looking for a friendly group, not cut-throat competitive or intense, for playing games like Settlers of Catan and more.

It feels like such a group should already exist; but if it doesn't, perhaps someone out there should set one up?  We'd be happy to publicise a group like this :)

Let us know in the comments!

12th March 2011

Thanks to everyone for joining us on such a lovely, sunny day!  We heard about SciBarCamb (tickets selling fast!) and play tested a print-and-play arms trading game (from Andy of TerrorBull Games), which demonstrated that once one starts trading arms, one just can't stop. We talked about Murmur Toronto (enabling anyone with a mobile to hear about the history of locations across the city) and the iPhone game in Tate Modern - Tate Trumps.

15th November 2010

We had a great meetup in November, although sadly Laura couldn't make it. But a D20 and an overexcited Lego man were there :)

Saturday 7 August 2010

7th August 2010

Our first meetup was well attended - we talked of games design and played a wide variety of mobile games, iPad games, and board games - including a cut-throat round of RoboRally.
